The former Ottoman railway station was restored to become a renowned tourist destination known as Hejaz Railway Museum. This museum, which was inaugurated in 2006, features an opulent platform that will transport you to the era of the Ottoman Empire.

One of Medina's most educational attractions is the Hejaz Railway Museum, which was constructed on the grounds of the major Ottoman Railway Station using a section of the original track. It is devoted to the Islamic life that flourished beside the railway and is a museum about train vehicles or railroads.

How to explore the Hejaz Railway Museum?

- Learn about the intricate Hejaz railway system and discover how the platform-based office managed the vast transportation network in the olden era.

- The museum is divided into four galleries that depict Medina's history from the Paleolithic to the Modern era.

* Step outside the halls to admire the century-old automobile, rusting engine, railroad cars, and authentic narrow gauge railway tracks.

- Some of the rolling equipment and engines on display were brought to the museum from other locations along the storied Hejaz railway line. On the museum tracks, at least one machine has been sufficiently refurbished to allow for driving.

- Teleport into a beautiful archaic setting to examine the vast text collections and portraits of the monarchs.

- Visit the exhibition on the Prophet's life to learn more about the Medina antiques and relics.

- Knowing about how people lived before and after the advent of Islam will be motivating, and it will also help to put Islamic history and culture into context.

- It also has several intriguing rock formations with inscriptions on them.

- The Ottoman Sultan and construction engineer Kaiser German built one of the trains displayed there, which traveled thousands of kilometers to Madinah 120 years ago. Take the back walkway to the train depot by exiting the central train station through the back door gate. Three of the Kaiser's locomotives will be visible. The passenger cars themselves are fascinating.

- A display of old hand tools, astronomy instruments, the Quran, coins, etc. is also there.

- Take pictures of various abandoned railroad cars and bring back a suitcase full of memories.
