Saudi Arabia established a project in 1983 to convert the 1908-built Al-Hejaz Railway Station into the Dar Al-Madinah Museum in Medinah. It is a privately run museum by King Abdul-Aziz bin Abdul-Rahman bin Ibrahim. It is situated in Knowledge Economic City (KEC) and features several artifacts and pictures that illustrate the history of The Hijrah Road and events connected to the Hijrah.

This Museum in Al-Madinah showcases the heritage and history of Al-Madina through a variety of archaeological treasures, art galleries, and vintage photographs of Al-Medina. Around 2,000 priceless objects depicting Al-past Madinah's culture are on display in the Museum, with illustrations showing the city's people, scenery, and development over time.

The Museum's most significant exhibit is a bow that belonged to Saad Ibn Abi-Waqas, a renowned Muslim archer and associate of the Prophet Muhammad. The exhibit showing how Masjid Nabawi changed from being a house, courtyard, and home to the enormous complex it is today is one of the most fascinating features of this room. The Museum showcases a model of the Haram al-Sharif in one of the historical exhibits. The model, which provides information about Masjid al-Aqsa on the left and the Dome of the Rock in the middle, is deficient in a few areas.

The Museum has four significant halls that the government uses for seminars. They also feature the history of Medinah in several locations. It has a competent workforce qualified to speak at least seven languages, including English, Arabic, and Urdu, to communicate with tourists. They mention sources and references to offer thorough but reliable information on the topic.
