Anbairya Mosque is among a plethora of alluring mosques that embody mystifying history. It is one such fascinating destination of religious significance that people love to go to bring peace to their minds. The Anbairya Mosque often referred to as the Hamidiye Mosque, is a mosque constructed by the Ottoman Turks in Medina, which is now a part of Saudi Arabia. It is called Anbairya Mosque in Arabic and Amberiye Mescidi in Turkish.

It has the Anbairya Gate's name since that is where the mosque once stood. Another story behind its name was that the gate was given its name after the Madinah al-Munawarah neighborhood of al-Anbairya, which in turn took its name from an orchard owned by an Ottoman cheiftan who donated a portion of the area nearby for a military academy. This massive gate is used to welcome travelers arriving from the port of Jeddah and Yanbu.

The Anbairya Mosque was erected in 1908 by Ottoman Sultan Abdülhamid II near al-Muazzim Railway Station. It houses the Hejaz Railway Museum, which was part of the Hejaz Railway project. Southwest of Masjid al-Nabawi lies Anbairya Mosque.

Since Friday prayers are not held in the mosque, there is no pulpit. Its construction included using Harawi basalt stone, a volcanic basalt found locally. The bottom portion of the inside walls is covered in white marble, and the building has indoor and outdoor lighting arrangements in addition to air conditioning.
