The USS Lexington Museum is an aircraft carrier from World War II, now a museum in Corpus Christi, Texas. The ship was first put into service in 1943 and was vital in some of the major battles in the Pacific theater of World War II.

The museum has many displays and engaging activities, such as flight simulators, a 3D MEGA Theater, and ship tours.

Visitors can look at old planes like the F-14 Tomcat and A-6 Intruder on the flight deck and hangar space of the ship. The 'Pearl Harbor Experience,' a hands-on exhibit that takes people back to the morning of December 7, 1941, is one of the best parts of the museum.

The USS Lexington Museum also offers overnight camping expeditions for groups. During these expeditions, people sleep in real berthing compartments and do things that help them work together.

The USS Lexington Museum is one of the most haunted places in Corpus Christi. There have been many accounts of unusual occurrences happening on the ship, like seeing ghosts and hearing noises that can't be explained. In fact, the ship has been on a number of spooky TV shows, such as Ghost Hunters and Ghost Adventures. People who go to the museum can even go on a ghost tour of the ship to learn more about its scary past.

The USS Lexington Museum is also intriguing because it was the first aircraft carrier to have a female captain. In 1991, Captain Linda L. Wackerman became the first woman to be in charge of a warship in the US Navy. Since then, women in the military and other female leaders have liked to visit the USS Lexington Museum. In fact, the ship's Women's Pavilion has displays and exhibits that honor the work of women in the service and overseas.

On the USS Lexington, there are many places to take pictures. You can sit next to old planes on the flight deck or take pictures of the ship's tall smokestacks and exclusive island structure.
