Want to watch the 2018 FIFA World Cup live? Russia has made it easier. The country has introduced a new visa scheme which will allow football fans to enter Russia for the 2018 World Cup without a visa.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law regarding the visa-free system. Fans who have tickets and get their ‘fan ID’ by the Russian government will be allowed to enter the country without any visa. The visa-free system will only be available for the tournament dates and around.

The documents required would be a valid identity document (“tourist” passport) and a “Personalized card of the spectator or the Fan ID.
