Prabhadevi's Shree Siddhivinayak Temple is well known and well-liked as Greater Mumbai's Desire Fulfilling Shrine. This old temple is a place of worship for its followers and pilgrims from all over the world to find consolation.

Siddhivinayak isn't from this century, or the preceding one for that matter, despite its appearance to be current. It is also a favorite among Bollywoodwallahs, who go there before the release of their films and on special events in their personal lives.

THINGS TO DO AT SHREE SIDDHIVINAYAK TEMPLE:

Admire the architectural marvel that it is: The structure of the shrine in the Prabhadevi temple may have been roughly 500 years old, given that the old Banganga shrine complex is more than 500 years old. The idol has a right-tilted trunk, a lotus in the upper right arm, a miniature hatchet in the second arm, a chain of holy beads in the lower right arm, and Lord Ganesh's favorite sweet treat, ladoo in the bowl on the left arm. The statue is three-eyed like Lord Shiva and is sculpted on a black stone with Mooshak, the Lord's mouse-bearer. Lord Shree is seated in Padmaasan, the lotus position, on the base of the throne. Learn about the religious significance: The temple was constructed specifically to fulfill the aspirations of infertile women. However, the Siddhivinayak Temple has grown over the years, just like the variety of desires that its deity granted. Attend special days and events: Numerous devotees flock to the Temple on Tuesdays, Sankasht Chaturthi and Aangarak Chaturthi, which are auspicious days, to receive Darshan and have their desires granted. The temple is a five-story building with a central shrine built into the walls, and every effort is made to offer worshipers with open space. Explore the premises: A 19th-century lake that faced the eastern and southern sides of the temple was filled in to create the playground now seen next to the Siddhivinayak complex. The structure also had a living colony for its guardians in the past. Explore the neighborhood: After making your prayers at the temple, you can travel to the many neighboring tourist attractions: Prabhadevi Beach Prabhadevi Beach is one of the best sites in Mumbai to see the sunset. The beach offers unobstructed views of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link and breathtaking panoramas of the Arabian Sea. Worli Fort The British constructed Worli Fort in 1675. Even though just a small portion of the original building remains today, it is a must-see for all history buffs. Haji Ali Dargah Haji Ali Dargah is a mosque built by Pir Haji Ali Shah Bukhari and situated off Worli's shore. The mosque, constructed in 1431, is a magnificent example of Indo-Islamic architecture.
