Nikolskaya Ulitsa

A pedestrian-only street in Moscow's Kitay-Gorod neighborhood is called Nikolskaya Street (Russian: иколскa улиа). It links Lubyanka Square and Red Square. Between 1935 to 1990, it was referred to as the Street of the 25th of October.

The Kazan Cathedral, the Old Mint, the Monastery of the Holy Saviour, the Greek Monastery of St. Nicholas, and the former Holy Synod Printing Offices, Russia's first publishing house, are just a few of the historic structures that line the north side of the street. The GUM and the Dormition Church, two examples of Naryshkin Baroque supported by the Saltykov boyar family in 1691, are located on the south side.
