The Loffler family's ambition of transporting these magnificent winged creatures all the way from South Africa led to the establishment of this ostrich farm in 1998. It is not the usual animal farm that one would find on the island, Artestruz is an experience that allows you to enjoy some truly unforgettable moments in a world that is full of love and respect for animals. From gaining an understanding of the history of these fascinating birds to getting real photographs to preparing a massive egg to eat, this farm has it all! It can be reached from Palma in less than half an hour by car. As soon as you enter the farm, you will be transported into a world filled with strange ostriches.

At the beginning of Artestruz, there were twelve ostriches that were transported all the way from Africa. Over sixty birds can be seen on the farm today, and some of the original birds are still there at the ripe old age of twenty. You are cordially invited to the ostrich farm to take part in a one-of-a-kind adventure and learn more about the fascinating world of these stunning birds. The farm is always ready to welcome visitors all year round.

How to explore Artestruz Mallorca?

• Spend the day gaining knowledge about the huge birds that are native to Africa and being familiar with their behaviors both in the wild and on farms.
• You get the opportunity to interact with both the juvenile and adult ostriches by feeding them as well as taking a ride on one of the adults.
• You are welcome to join these animals for a meal or a drink in addition to the opportunity to interact with their animals.
• You could try some exotic ostrich meat with a local drink from Mallorca, or you could eat one of the enormous ostrich eggs as part of your meal.
• They also have a wonderful artesian shop that sells items produced entirely from ostriches; whether it is gorgeous shoes and handbags, painted huge eggs, or cured ostrich meat, you will be astounded by the varieties available in this store.
