The Husainabad Clock Tower is an iconic landmark in the heart of Lucknow, India. Hussainabad Trust built it in 1881 to welcome the first lieutenant governor of the United Provinces of Avadh, Sir George Couper.

Husainabad Clock Tower, completed in 1881, is the tallest clock tower in India. The structure is a copy of London's iconic Big Ben clock tower. Ghantaghar is the local name for it (house of bell).

This clock had been operated manually until 2010. At that time, it was replaced with an electric one. After 27 years, towards the end of 2011, the tall clock tower metal sounds finally started coming from this clock.
