One of the most well-known buildings in the city is the Lucknow Bara Imambara. It is a significant place of worship for Muslims who visit annually to observe the Islamic holiday of Muharram. It is also known as Asfi Imambara, named after the Nawab of Lucknow, who ordered its construction. Bara Imambara is a wonder of engineering and a remarkable example of Mughal architecture. It is claimed to be the biggest structure in the world that is not supported by beams. The Imambara was built in a distinctive manner where no wood or metal was used to construct this mosque. The center hall, which is reputed to be the biggest vaulted room in the world, is where one may also see Nawab Asaf-Ud-burial Dowlah's and his crown. The ornate Mughal style known as the Badshahi Mosque served as inspiration for the Bara Imambara's construction. One of the final projects to exclude the use of irons or any other European components is this one. How to explore Bara Imambara?

- The impressive maze on the upper level of the monument, known locally as Bhul Bhulaiya, is the main draw of the Imambara. The interesting maze leading to the Bhul Bhulaiya, the main draw here, is beyond the little door to the left of the main chamber. There are - supposedly 1024 ways to enter the maze but only two methods to exit it. You have to be there to experience the adventure.= - The Imambara's main hall is reputed to be the world's biggest arched space. Its construction is distinctive in a way that it is entirely devoid of the woodwork (except the galleries). The roof is supported only by the interlocking bricks that have been used to assemble the blocks, and it stands erect without any pillars. - Visit the great Asafi Mosque that is located at one end of the two large gateways leading to the Bara Imambara, while the spacious baori is located on the other. - The topmost floor of the monument's construction is filled with a fascinating maze of little tunnels that finally leads to the rooftop. The rooftop's breathtaking panorama of the City of Nawab will leave you speechless.
