The famous Citadelle, a fortress that is a stunning example of Vauban's military architecture from the 17th century, is home to 70 hectares of park and woodland. Lille Zoo is located at the base of the Vauban citadel ramparts.

On 3.5 hectares, it houses 450 animals from about a hundred different species and is also known as the Bois de Boulogne Zoopark.

Its objectives go beyond simply exhibiting animals from every continent.

It also emphasizes educating and informing the general public about preserving diversity and endangered species.

THINGS TO DO AT LILLE'S ZOO:

Explore the diversity of wildlife:

Visitors can explore seven themed areas: the avenue of aviaries, the tropical house, the valley of monkeys, the island of Madagascar, American lands, African lands, and the large South American aviary.

Young visitors will be surprised and delighted by reptiles and many other well-known and lesser-known species.

Attend one of the many planned activities from the calendar:

With activities like treasure hunts, animal feedings, and other enjoyable events, Lille Zoo is also the perfect place to celebrate your child's birthday for children aged 6 to 11. These events will give them priceless memories. Make a food game at the 'animals' teatime' workshop, and then watch the animals play with and consume your creation. You can observe feeding sessions, handle a snake, and go behind the scenes in small groups.

Let the kids indulge in free play:

A small fair and amusement park called 'Cita Parc,' which is situated right next to the animal park, is also enjoyable for kids.
