Located on the Wadi Baysh, the Baysh Dam is a gravity dam. It is about 35 km (22 mi) northeast of Baysh in the Jizan Region of southwestern Saudi Arabia. It is a valley or ravine, bounded by relatively steep banks, which in the rainy season becomes a watercourse, found primarily in North Africa and the Middle East.

The dam serves a variety of functions, including groundwater recharging, irrigation, and flood control. Between 2003 and 2009, the dam was built. It is the tallest dam in Saudi Arabia at 106 m (348 ft). The Ministry of Water and Electricity is in charge of managing it.
