When it comes to sightseeing in the city, one of the most popular attractions is the cable car in Dubrovnik. Passengers can ride this ultra-modern, lightning-quick, and very orange mode of transportation to the peak of Mount Srd, the mountain towers over Dubrovnik. The base station is located just outside of the Old Town.

THINGS TO DO AT DUBRONVIK CABLE CAR:

As you make your way to the mountain's peak, take a vantage point and watch as Dubrovnik Old gets smaller in the distance:

It is highly recommended to take a ride on the Dubrovnik Cable Car because the views will leave you in complete and utter awe.

The ride on the cable car up the hill takes three and a half minutes, covering a distance of 778 meters, with the upper station situated 405 meters above mean sea level. The ride, in general, is quite comfortable, and each of the two large orange cabins has room for 30 passengers.

Enjoy meals with a view of the Old City at the snack bar restaurant that overlooks the area:

You'll find the Panorama Restaurant on top of the Cable Car Station. The restaurant offers a magnificent view of the entire city, as well as the sea and islands located in the surrounding area.

Steora is the best public bench in the world, and it gets its power from clean solar energy.

It not only beautifies the street and locations, such as the upper base of the Dubrovnik cable car, but it also provides charging for mobile devices.

The Croatian company Steora is responsible for the development and production of an innovative and cutting-edge products known as Steora.

It is a charging station for mobile devices and a smart bench simultaneously.

Amphitheatre

The amphitheatre at the upper station on Srd Mountain is available for hire and has seating for over 120 guests, making it ideal for hosting large gatherings or events. Your event will be even more spectacular if it takes place in the amphitheater, regardless of whether it is a private group lunch, a wedding, a disco, or a family or corporate celebration.

You'll only be able to find this one-of-a-kind, precious handmade jewelry if you shop for Pearls at Ohrid:

Because of where it came from and how it was made, the Ohrid pearl is unlike any other piece of jewelry in the world. After being formed inside the shell, the grains are covered in a silver emulsion derived from the scales of a fish called the plashica, which is endemic to Lake Ohrid. This method has been carefully guarded as a family heirloom for hundreds of years, passed down from one generation to the next in just a handful of families from the city of Ohrid in the Republic of Macedonia.

In the vicinity:

  • The Republic of Ragusa, which later became the Republic of Dubrovnik, had its type of silver coin called the perpera that it issued and used.
  • The Homeland war museum, also known as the Croatian War for Independence museum, is located in Fort Imperial, next to the upper cable station.
  • Do not pass up the one-of-a-kind opportunity to go up and see Lastovo and Korula islands, which are over 100 kilometers away, if you had the good fortune that the Northern Bura wind has been blowing for a while.
