Dubai, the city synonymous with luxury and opulence, has opened its doors to international tourists. The city has been deemed as one of the safest destinations in the world by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) and is taking steps to reopen slowly. From the moment you arrive at the airport to the moment you leave, Dubai will provide you the exclusive Dubai hospitality experience.
Read on to find out the safest and most fun activities to do while in Dubai.
Atlantis The Palm, one of the premier 5-star luxury resorts in Dubai, has taken it up a notch to ensure the safety of its customers. Mercato Beach, one of Dubai’s most relaxing beaches, is open for tourists. Located near the Mercato Mall, the beach may not be as popular as the famous Kite Beach. But that’s what makes it stand out, especially during times like this where social distancing is the norm. Less crowd, more beach. Who wouldn’t love that? Swim in the refreshing water or go for a picnic and experience Dubai’s beach life without the crowds. If you’re lucky you might even get the entire beach to yourself.
Dubai is a shopping paradise and to visit the city without shopping is like going to a Michelin starred restaurant and ordering only water. One of the best and biggest malls in UAE, The Dubai Mall has opened its doors. This retail paradise is a safe haven. The mall conducts temperature checks, enforces social distancing rules, and masks policy strictly. Once inside, shop to your heart’s content at high-end brands, elegant Souks, and dine in world-class restaurants. All within one building. At the end of the day, you might never want to leave The Dubai Mall.
Going to a place is not complete without visiting cultural centers like museums. Dubai prides itself on its rich heritage and culture. So, it comes as no surprise that some of the best museums in the world are in Dubai. The good news is that Dubai museums are reopening in a phased manner. The Jameel Arts Centre, one of Dubai’s best contemporary art centers is open on a pre-booking basis from 10 am to 6 pm daily except on Tuesday. Alserkal Avenue, Dubai’s leading art district, and Dubai Historical District, an important historical site are both partially open. Visitors are required to wear masks and practice social distancing rules. All museums will have a 50% visitor capacity and anyone under the age of 12 and over 60 will not be permitted.
