Muséum d'Histoire Naturelle

The Muséum d'Histoire Naturelle de Dijon, also known as the Natural History Museum of Dijon, is a natural history museum in Dijon, France. It is situated in the Parc de l'Arquebuse.

Along with the Hubert Curien Planetarium and Arquebuse Botanical Garden, it is one of the three components that make up the Jardin des Sciences. The Arquebuse park is home to Dijon's natural history museum and is close to both the Botanical Garden and the Hubert Curien Planetarium.

The establishment, which was founded in 1836 by the naturalist Leonard Nodot and is housed in a former barracks with arcades, has three buildings: the Raines pavilion houses temporary exhibitions, the reserves, and the laboratory; the Arquebuse pavilion houses the permanent collection on biodiversity; and finally, the Petite and Grande Orangerie annexes are still accessible.

The site presents models, stuffed specimens, fossils, and casts to prompt visitors to consider biodiversity issues. The museography of the site has also been updated.
