Whataburger Field was constructed in 2005 and is the home ground of the Double-A affiliate of the Houston Astros, the Corpus Christi Hooks. Whataburger Field is situated in the center of Corpus Christi's sports and entertainment district, close to several other attractions, such as the American Bank Center.


The stadium has hosted a number of notable events over the years, including the Texas League All-Star Game in 2007 and an exhibition game between the Houston Astros and Texas Rangers in 2014.

The stadium has 6,000 seats and a variety of amenities, including lavish suites, a pool area, and a playground for children.


Whataburger Field is renowned for its distinctive architecture, which includes a 5,050-square-foot scoreboard in the form of a Whataburger meal with a large orange 'W' and 'Whataburger' lettering.
