Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum

The Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum, Bangalore, on Kasturba Road, was constructed in Sir M Visvesvaraya's honor.

The first Prime Minister of India, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, opened the 43000 square foot area in 1962. It is situated in the tranquil surroundings of Cubbon Park.

The museum, themed after a 'Science Museum,' has four floors, each devoted to a different scientific field. The top floor has been transformed into a food court.

THINGS TO DO AT VISVESVARAYA INDUSTRIAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL MUSEUM:

• UNDERSTAND WHAT INSPIRED THE LAYOUT OF THE MUSEUM:

The exceptional design of the depository was influenced by early scientific apparatuses like the Wright Brothers' Kitty Hawk, flying Stimulator, and other comparable items.

The background displays bizarre images and animations of the changing planetary locations, distinct sea and land dynamics, and the climate.

There are numerous exhibits of a steam engine, an airplane, a motor, etc., in the center's seven permanent gallery displays.

• EXPLORE THE VARIOUS GALLERIES WITH VERSATILE SUBJECTS:

1. Engine Hall—In this room, the mechanics involved in how various pieces of machinery operate are explained.

It displays a variety of machinery pieces from various autos.

Additionally, it exemplifies the mechanism of energy conservation.

2. How Things Work Gallery—This section of the website resembles a little visual representation of a secondary physics textbook.

There are displays of pulleys, levers, inclined planes, various kinds of levers, etc.

3. Electro Technical Gallery - As its name implies, this gallery features exhibits that use electrical, electronic, and communication principles.

It performs demonstration experiments using the theories of Oersted, Barlow, and Faraday.

4. Space Emerging Technology at the Service of Humanity - This exhibits human accomplishments in space and elsewhere.

It is the first scientific gallery in India to focus only on space technology and is supported by research from the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).

5. Biotechnological Revolution - This collection features images of the biotechnological revolution's various applications, findings, and research.

6. Dinosaur Alive: This exhibit is one of the museum's more entertaining.

An animated recreation of the extinct spine-lizard dinosaur Spinosaurus can be seen in this hallway.

7. The Fun Science Gallery: It was primarily built with children in mind. It includes several games and puzzles built around mathematical, scientific, and fluid dynamics ideas.

• ENGAGING AND ENTERTAINING SESSIONS MAKE LEARNING FUN FOR ONE AND ALL:

Through its interactive demonstrations and experimentation, the center seeks to raise awareness of the value of science in daily life. The newly constructed 3D Visual Display Theatre, which shows educational and fascinating documentaries on deep sea diving, various tides, the solar and lunar eclipse, life in the deep sea, brain cells, etc., offers a beautiful experience in addition to exploring the various galleries and learning about the wonders of science.

Watching the planetarium's frequent performances of the entertaining 'Taramandal' show is another enjoyable activity.
