Bugle Rock Garden

In Kannada, Bugle Rock is referred to as Kahale Bande. It is an enormous rock located in the Basavanagudi neighborhood of South Bengaluru.

With its verdant vegetation, Bugle Rock Park is considered one of Bangalore's 'Green Lungs' (and waterfalls).

The area is frequented daily by locals because it contains three temples, a walking and jogging track, and an open gym for those interested in working out.

THINGS TO DO AT BUGLE ROCK:

• Learn about its share of history:

Bugle Rock is estimated to be approximately 3,000 million years old and has an abrupt rise above the ground of peninsular gneiss as the main rock formation. This rocky outcrop in Bangalore was once used as a lookout point when a monarchy still ruled the city. Whenever there was an assault by the enemy, a bugle call sounded from this location to warn the town's citizens.

One of the four watchtowers built during the reign of Kempegowda, the founder of Bangalore (during the 15th and 16th centuries), can be found in Bugle Rock garden. As a result, this location is significant in terms of its historical significance.

• There are multiple entertainment options for one and all:

Visit the statues dedicated to prominent citizens of Bangalore, such as the first Kempe Gowda and the well-known author DV Gundappa, among others.

Children will enjoy an evening spent at Bugle Rock Garden, which features an abundance of trees and is an excellent location for playing ball.

In addition, there is a musical fountain in the garden.

The theater in this location is even more impressive, which can accommodate up to 300 people and serves as a venue for social, cultural, and awareness events.

There is a stage and a small theatre here, and throughout the week, on the weekends, and other special occasions, many musicians and cultural activists host programs here.

• Take advantage of the comfortable setting in which to spend time with those you care about:

Parks surround this location with numerous chats and mouthwateringly delicious food centers.
