Bannerghatta National Park

The Bannerghatta National Park, 22 kilometers from Bangalore, serves as a sanctuary for many plants and animals. This national park, which spans a sizable area of 104.27 sq. km, was created in 1971. The park is home to several establishments, including the first butterfly park in the nation.

1. Elephant Sanctuary: The park has an area designated for elephants, a fenced enclosure where they are free to roam.

It covers 122 acres and was created by Carol Buckley, an expert on elephants. You can safely interact with these kinds of giants without endangering them.

2. Zoo: The zoo features a variety of exhibits that highlight the park's wildlife. There is also a small theatre and a reptile park here.

3. Butterfly Park: On November 25, 2006, Union Minister Kapil Sibal opened this location as India's first butterfly enclosure.

The park has a museum, conservatory, and audiovisual room and is 7.5 acres in size. About twenty butterflies can be housed in the greenhouse, which has a synthetic ecosystem ideal for their growth.
