Keetham Lake, also known as Sur Sarovar, is an artificial reservoir that was first built to provide water to the city of Agra during the summer. However, the wetland quickly developed into a significant and rich ecosystem. It is located on the NH2 highway between Agra and Delhi, roughly 20 km from Agra and 12 km from Sikandra. The attractive water feature is set in tranquil settings and makes for a lovely picnic spot to unwind from the busy work routine of city life. On March 27, 1991, the U.P. Forest Department designated Keetham Lake as a National Bird Sanctuary. It has established shallow regions surrounding lakes and planted forests there, transforming the area into a natural environment for bird nesting sites. It has a pentagonal shape, striking and relaxing to the eyes.
